Dana A. Burns is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor in the state of Texas with a very distinguished background of dedicated service to enhancing the lives of others and is also the owner of Burns Counseling Group.
I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Sam Houston State University and obtained a Master of Arts in Counseling and Guidance from Texas Southern University. My fourteen years of experience in the mental health field includes working with clients stipulated to court ordered treatment for substance use, anger management and other mental health needs as well as providing counseling services to individuals, couples and families in private practice. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Arkansas - virtual sessions available.
I enjoy working with teens and adults in areas related to grief, divorce, substance abuse, relationship concerns and life transitions. I am open to discussing interfaith matters with clients if so desired.
My passion for serving people, along with my counseling background and experience qualifies me as an excellent helper toward building healthy relationships and stronger families.
During my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and traveling to exciting destinations with blue water. I also conduct training workshops as well as present at local and national conferences.
